Getting Started with Everna
Learn how to create and deploy your first autonomous AI agent in minutes.
What are Agents?
Everna agents are autonomous AI systems that run continuously to handle tasks on your behalf. Unlike traditional scripts or automation tools, agents can:
- Think and reason - Make intelligent decisions based on context
- Run forever - Operate 24/7 without stopping or supervision
- Use tools - Browse websites, send messages, update files, and more
- Adapt to events - Respond to real-time triggers and changes
Creating Your First Agent
Sign In
Go to app.everna.io and sign in with your account.
Create New Agent
Click the "New Agent" button in the dashboard. You'll see a creation form where you'll configure your agent.
Name Your Agent
Give your agent a descriptive name that reflects its purpose. For example: "Market Monitor", "DevOps Assistant", or "Content Manager".
Define the Goal
Write a clear goal that describes what you want your agent to accomplish. Be specific about the task and desired outcome.
Example Goal:
"Monitor the top 10 competitors' pricing pages every hour. When any price changes, send me a notification with the details."
Select Tools
Choose which tools your agent can use. Common tools include:
- Computer Access - Run programs and scripts
- Web Browser - Visit websites and search online
- Messaging Apps - Send alerts via Slack, Discord, or Email
Some tools need quick setup like connecting your account or providing notification settings. Just follow the prompts.
Deploy
Click "Create Agent" to deploy. Your agent will start immediately and begin working on its goal.
Using Your Agent
Once your agent is deployed, you can interact with it through the dashboard.
Monitor Activity
View real-time logs to see what your agent is doing. Every action, decision, and result is logged.
Send Interrupts
Send messages to your agent to give it new instructions or ask questions. It will incorporate your feedback.
Adjust Configuration
Update your agent's goal, tools, or settings at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
Pause or Stop
Temporarily pause your agent to save credits, or stop it completely when the task is done.
Tips for Success
- Be specific with goals
The clearer your goal, the better your agent will perform. Include specific metrics, timeframes, and desired outcomes.
- Start simple
Begin with a straightforward task to understand how agents work. You can always make them more complex later.
- Monitor the first few runs
Check your agent's logs frequently in the beginning to ensure it's behaving as expected.
- Use interrupts for guidance
If your agent seems stuck or is going off track, send it an interrupt message with clarification.
